Marcel Sparmann verortet sich an den Schnittstellen zu Performancekunst, Theater, Tanz und
Installation. Seit seinem Studium der Szenischen Künste in Hildesheim und Kunst im Öffentlichen
Raum in Glasgow, ist er als Künstler und Researcher tätig. Darüber hinaus hat er als Vermittler und Regisseur für Performance Kunst und Theater in Europa, Nord- und Südamerika sowie China und Japan gearbeitet. Zuletzt bekleidete er Lehraufträge an verschiedenen deutschen Universitäten und internationalen Institutionen. Sparmann ist Jurysprecher des Bundestreffen Jugendclubs an Theatern, hatte von 2019-2021 die Künstlerische Leitung der Präsentationsformate für die Kulturhauptstadt-bewerbung der Stadt Hildesheim inne und war als Assistenz der Künstlerischen Leitung der Film-produktion ‚Strata‘ tätig. Er bestritt verschiedene Soloausstellungen und einen Aufenthalt auf Schloss Solitude.
Mit Unterstützung des Goethe-Institutes nahm er an renommierten Festivals und Biennalen, u.a. der
Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, der Venice International Performance Art Week, der
1.Bienal Internacional de Caracas, dem Xi’an Live Art Festival, der Houston Performance Art
Biennale, sowie Weiteren, teil. Marcel Sparmann ist Bestandteil verschiedener Künstler*innen
Kollektive und begann aktuell eine Weiterbildung zum Künstlerisch-Systemischen Therapeuten an
